VISION & MESSAGE--NEW

Frederick A. Drummond, Sr.'s life and ministry can be summed up in one word - NEW! This is his vision and message. It doesn't get any better than new. The good news is that Jesus Christ wants to make you new, and nothing you have ever been through or are facing right now can stop this.

The victory of the cross has seated Jesus Christ on a throne of grace at His Father's right hand, giving Him the authority to birth a new creation, one believer at a time out of the old, making everything about them new today, tomorrow and forever in eternity.

How are believers made new?

At salvation their newness is "in Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:17). After they are saved their newness is experienced continually as they "put on Christ" (Romans 13:14). Because they are saved they bear the image of Christ from glory to glory by the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18). In the resurrection in the end, they will be saved completely in body and soul as they are in spirit, and they will be like Christ (1 John 3:2).

Truly our lives as believers are all about new - new thoughts, new plans, new directions, new relationships, a new hope and the list goes on. And the believer's NEWness is soundly based on the New Testament Scriptures:

1. A new Covenant

Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—
~ Hebrews 8:8

And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. ~ Hebrews 9:15

by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh...
~
Hebrews 10:20

to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. ~ Hebrews 12:24

2. A new commandment

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. ~ John 13:34

Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. ~ 1 John 2:7,8

And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. ~ 2 John 5

3. A new doctrine

And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak? 21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing. ~ Acts 17:19, 21

4. A new Testment

In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
~ 1
Corinthians 11:25

who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. ~ 2 Corinthians 3:6)

5. A new Creation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. ~ Galatians 6:15

6. A new lump

Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. ~ 1 Corinthians 5:7

7. A new man

having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace...
~
Ephesians 2:15

and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him... ~ Colossians 3:10

8. A new Earth

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. ~ 2 Peter 3:13
